Custom Software Engineer

Akkodis is seeking a Custom Software Engineer for a Contract job with a client in St. Petersburg, FL (Remote) . The ideal candidate must have strong experience in Java, Oracle, and Enterprise Application Development, along with a proven ability to design and deliver scalable software solutions.

Rate Range: $68/hour to $70/hour ; The rate may be negotiable based on experience, education, geographic location, and other factors.

Custom Software Engineer job responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain enterprise applications using Java, Oracle, and modern development frameworks.
• Build scalable and high-performing software components that align with business and technical requirements.
• Develop and support applications utilizing Spring Boot , RESTful services, and Oracle database technologies.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical designs and application solutions.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, QA teams, and developers to deliver successful project outcomes.
• Troubleshoot complex application issues and implement solutions that improve system reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Participate in Agile development activities including sprint planning, code reviews, testing, and deployment support.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience with:
  
  • Java Development
  • Oracle Database Development
  • Enterprise Application Development
• Advanced proficiency in Spring Boot .
• Strong experience with: Java, Oracle, SQL & PL/SQL, REST APIs, Application Development, Software Design & Development.
• Experience working within Agile software development environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with Oracle Applications PL/SQL .
• Strong client communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Knowledge of Digital Banking platforms and financial services applications.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise software implementations.
• Familiarity with cloud technologies, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.

Pay Details: $68.00 to $70.00 per hour
