Position Title: Environmental Health & Safety Technician
Location: Waco, TX

Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm
Salary Range: DOE
Job Type: Full-Time | Direct Hire

Overview:
Crouch Staffing Solutions, Inc. is recruiting for a Safety and Environmental Technician for a Waco area manufacturer. This role will ensure a safe and injury free work environment for all employees. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in OSHA regulations, workplace safety, environmental standards, and safety training within the manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and manage all site-specific environmental, health, and safety programs in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, EPA, TCEQ, etc.)
• Conduct safety orientations and training for all new hires and ongoing safety refreshers for existing employees
• Prepare weekly safety posting for the employees
• Perform routine site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify and mitigate hazards
• Lead incident investigations, root cause analyses, and corrective action planning
• File Workers Comp claims and follow employee through care process
• Maintain accurate records of safety incidents, training logs, OSHA logs, training programs, and compliance documentation
• Create training programs were needed
• Partner with plant leadership and supervisors to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement
• Serve as the primary liaison during regulatory agency inspections and audits
• Ensure all safety equipment and emergency response protocols are in place and maintained

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Engineering, or related field (preferred)
• Previous EHS experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is strongly preferred
• In-depth knowledge of OSHA standards, environmental compliance, and workplace safety regulations
• Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to communicate and train in big and small groups.
• Professional certifications such as OSHA 30-Hour, CHST, CSP, or similar are a plus
