Bartender

1525 Hwy 107 South Cashiers, NC 28717 Job Purpose The purpose of the Bartender position is to provide thorough knowledge and understanding of our beverage collection and prepare drink orders to the Standards of Service. The bartender will uphold our highest standards of hospitality by being attentive, professional, and efficient behind the bar at all times. Pay and Schedule Pay Range: $20.00–$30.00 per hour. This seasonal position runs from May through November, with potential for year‑round employment based on performance and business needs. Flexibility to work weekends and holidays is required. Key Responsibilities Knowledge of a range of cocktails, beverages, and cordials Maintains assigned bar or station to fit guests’ needs Makes drinks for the dining room from server orders Cleans and maintains bar equipment Engages and educates guests about our bar programs Opens and closes bar(s) according to bar manual and standards Takes drink orders at the bar Charges drink orders to the correct guest name/room Sets up and breaks down satellite bars Stocks and maintains various inventory on the property Required Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent preferred 1‑year experience in the beverage area in a fine dining establishment Basic knowledge of wine service required Must obtain a TABC server’s permit before the start date or within the grace period Skills & Competencies Excellent verbal and written communication skills with guests, team members, and managers Basic mathematical skills for property‑wide charging and closing checks Ability to make decisions under pressure, manage diverse tasks simultaneously, and exercise judgment based on job knowledge and company goals Physical demands: lift up to 50 lbs., be on feet for extended periods, operate company vehicle or golf cart safely Work environment: dining room, bar, kitchen, and outdoors in all weather conditions Benefits Benefits include travel perks and property benefits, tuition reimbursement, paid time off with additional paid holidays, health insurance and flexible spending accounts, 401(k) match with profit share, and training and education.
