Overview CLINICAL PSYCHOLOGIST (MENTAL HEALTH CONSULTANT) - Bassett Army Community Hospital, Fort Wainwright Alaska. About the Position: One position is located at Bassett Army Community Hospital, Fort Wainwright Alaska. One position is located at Soldier Centered Medical Home, Fort Richardson Alaska. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Responsibilities Major duties include: Apply biopsychosocial evaluations to propose mental health interventions. Provide evidence-based treatment, including behavioral, cognitive, and motivational approaches. Provide primary care providers and staff regular and concise feedback on the status of referred patients, to include recommendations for team-based care. Implement psychoeducational classes to target high frequency diagnoses found in the primary care clinic. Document information in the electronic health record during patient encounters. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Who may apply: US Citizens. Basic requirement for Clinical Psychologist (Mental Health Consultant): Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology. In addition to the basic requirement above, the following specialized experience is required: One year of specialized experience which includes conducting mental health assessments, providing individual and group treatment, and working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
