Mental Health Clinician

JOB SUMMARYThe Mental Health Clinician provides advanced clinical support in delivering behavioral health services within a correctional facility. This role is responsible for conducting assessments, providing individual and group therapy, developing treatment plans, and supporting crisis intervention efforts.DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES• Lead the strategic planning, development, and execution of operational and clinical• Conducts comprehensive mental health assessments and formulates treatment plans.• Provides individual and group therapy to inmates with a range of mental health needs.• Supports crisis intervention and suicide prevention efforts.• Collaborates with psychiatrists, nurses, custody staff, and other clinicians to ensure coordinated care.• Participates in case reviews, treatment planning meetings, and interdisciplinary team discussions.• Maintains accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation.• Assists in developing and delivering staff training and education on mental health topics.• Ensures adherence to ethical and professional standards of practice.• Performs other duties as assignedQUALIFICATIONSMaster’s degree in psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field required.Minimum of three (3) years of experience providing mental health services, preferably in a correctional or institutional setting.Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic, and therapeutic skills.Experience with crisis intervention and trauma-informed care approaches.Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.Proficient in clinical documentation and use of electronic health records (EHR).Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.FUNCTIONAL DEMANDS• Ability to pass all required health and other screening tests• May be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays• On-call duty may be required (available to work on short notice)ORGANIZATIONAL EXPECTATIONS• Provides a positive and professional representation of CFG Health Systems, LLC.• Promotes a culture of safety for patients and employees through proper identification, reporting, documentation, and prevention• Maintains competency and knowledge of current standards of practice, trends, and developments in related scope of job role or practice• Adheres to infection control policies and protocols, medication administration and storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations• Participate in ongoing quality improvement activities• Completes required orientation as directed by the facility• Follows facility and OSHA safety rules and procedures while on assignment• Follows facility and CFG Health Systems Occurrence Protocol• Upholds HIPAA and PREA regulations• Punctual and dependable for assigned/confirmed shifts• Maintains security clearance for the assigned facilityPHYSICAL DEMANDSThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
