Must-Have: 1:5/1:6 patient ratios, floating required, COVID-19 vaccine required, flu vaccine required

Description: 3T days position available. Previous charge experience preferred. Patient ratio experience of 6 is required. Experience with Meditech charting system preferred. Community hospital experience is preferred. Must be comfortable floating as needed. Candidate should have experience in the administration of blood and blood products. Ability to manage anti-seizure medications. Experience with asthma management. Must be capable of BiPAP/CPAP management. Breastfeeding support and handling of breast milk knowledge is desirable. Care and management of ports required. Central line blood draw experience necessary. Central line and implanted line care experience needed. Knowledge of cystic fibrosis treatment is beneficial. Experience with feeding methods (bottle, breast, gavage) is expected. Ability to assess and manage fractures is necessary. Experience in infection prevention required. Insertion and management of indwelling urinary catheter is essential. Competence in insulin administration is needed. Knowledge of isolation precautions and PPE is required. Management of chest tubes experience is necessary. Experience with meningitis cases is beneficial. Knowledge of neuromuscular disease is desirable. Neutropenic precautions experience preferred. Experience with NG tube insertion and management is needed. Oral and nasal suctioning skills are required. Oxygen delivery systems management experience is necessary. Pediatric dosage calculations knowledge is beneficial. Understanding of Pediatric Early Warning Score (PEWS) and Rapid Response Team protocols is needed. Pediatric Med/Surg experience is required. Peripheral line care and management experience is necessary. Phlebotomy skills are needed. Experience in post-cardiac catheterization care is preferred. Knowledge of renal failure management is required. Understanding of seizure disorders is necessary. Ability to start and maintain IVs is essential. Experience with symptom management is beneficial. Telemetry - remote monitoring experience is preferred. TPN and lipids management experience required. Tracheostomy care and management knowledge is necessary. Wound assessment and care experience are essential. Continuous unit support from various interdisciplinary teams is available. Patient age groups include adolescents, infants, adults, pediatrics, and geriatrics. Daily census is approximately 23 patients. Number of beds in the unit is 29. Active participation in holiday and weekend shifts is expected. Candidate must comply with current standards and policies regarding floating within the facility.
