Mock Mechanical Services is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Service Technician to join our team in the Savannah, Georgia area. This position is responsible for independently servicing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining a broad range of commercial HVAC equipment and systems.


The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of HVAC experience, strong commercial service and troubleshooting skills, and the ability to work on equipment from a variety of major manufacturers. This technician should be comfortable diagnosing complex mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and hydronic system issues and providing repair and maintenance services with minimal supervision.


Essential Core Competencies and Responsibilities

• Perform commercial HVAC service, repair, preventive maintenance, and troubleshooting
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, refrigeration, and system performance issues
• Perform repairs and maintenance on a wide variety of commercial HVAC equipment
• Troubleshoot system failures and identify appropriate repair solutions
• Understand system operation and identify opportunities for system improvements
• Service equipment from multiple major HVAC manufacturers
• Perform repairs and maintenance independently in commercial environments
• Maintain accurate documentation of service and repair work
• Communicate equipment conditions, repair needs, and recommended solutions
• Follow company procedures and required safety practices
• Participate in on-call, overtime, and weekend work as needed

Equipment-Specific Knowledge Requirements


Candidates should have hands-on service experience with:

• Air-cooled and water-cooled chillers
• Cooling towers
• Boilers
• Pumps
• Make-up air units
• VFDs
• Large split systems
• Packaged HVAC units

Manufacturer Experience


Experience servicing equipment from manufacturers including:

• Trane
• York
• Carrier
• Daikin
• Greenheck
• AAON
• PoolPak
• Marley
• BAC
• Evapco
• Lochinvar
• LAARS
• TACO
• ABB

Technical Knowledge Requirements

• Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC/R systems
• Ability to understand the operation of various commercial HVAC systems and equipment
• Advanced troubleshooting and diagnostic ability
• Commercial HVAC service, repair, and preventive maintenance experience
• Knowledge of chillers, boilers, cooling towers, pumps, VFDs, packaged equipment, and large split systems
• Ability to work independently and accurately diagnose equipment issues

Requirements

• 10+ years of HVAC experience preferred
• Extensive commercial HVAC service experience
• EPA Universal Certification required
• Must provide a resume outlining previous HVAC experience, training, and applicable technical education
• Ability to perform service, repair, maintenance, troubleshooting, and system improvements
• Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and work overtime or weekends when required

Schedule


Full-time position with a primarily Monday-Friday schedule. The position may also require on-call coverage, overtime, weekends as needed, and holiday coverage depending on service demands.
