BayCare Health Systems is currently seeking an experienced OR Registered Nurses to join our outstanding and compassionate float team. BayCare offers a variety of assignment options including:

System 13-week OR assignment at St. Joseph's Hospital North, Lutz FL - assigned O.R - unit provided schedule - block scheduling not available. 30 minute call back requirement.

The Registered Nurse works in a hospital setting and independently cares for a group of patients consistently using the nursing process and clinical standards. Delegates appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.

The registered nurse collaborates and communicates with inter-disciplinary care providers in developing and assisting in plan of care.

Organizes and prioritizes and updates plan of care in collaboration with patient, family, and significant others in the departments

Identifies patients at risk for injury regarding diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepares room environment.

The Registered Nurse performs the role of preceptor and charge nurse when assigned.

Requirements:

Registered Nurse license

BLS is required.

Associates Degree in Nursing

18 months RN experience in an acute OR setting is required

2 years RN experience in an acute OR setting is strongly preferred

Prior experience with Cerner EMR strongly preferred

Must have independent transportation for assignments/shifts

Facility: BayCare Health System, Staffing Resource Office (SRO)

Location: St. Joseph's Hospital North, Lutz FL

Status: Pool, Exempt: No

Shift Hours: 6:30am-5:00pm

Weekend Work: Occasional

On Call: Yes

Call Requirements: shift time varies between 630a-7a / on call: 2-3 call days during the week and 1-2 call days during the weekend (Sat or Sun) in a 4-week period / weekend: 1 Sat every 8-9 weeks as a normal shift -- facility does have a call room
