Accountant

MAU is hiring an Accountant for our client in Atlanta, GA. As an Accountant , you will support the corporate accounting team by performing General Ledger accounting, month-end close activities, account reconciliations, financial analysis, and financial reporting support. This is a long-term renewable contract opportunity. Benefits Package Health insurance Opportunity for advancement Shift Information Hybrid schedule: 2 days onsite and 3 days remote Monday–Friday | 9:00 AM–5:00 PM Additional flexibility may be needed during month-end close Required Education and Experience Bachelor\'s degree in Accounting or a related field Active CPA license Approximately 2–5+ years of accounting experience Preferred Education and Experience Corporate accounting experience Experience working in a fast-paced accounting environment General Requirements Hands-on month-end close experience Cash accounting and Accounts Receivable experience Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a team Essential Functions Prepare journal entries to support the month-end close process. Maintain and reconcile General Ledger accounts. Perform balance sheet and account reconciliations. Support cash accounting and Accounts Receivable activities. Account for prepaid expenses and miscellaneous expense accounts. Research account variances and prepare financial analyses. Assist with financial reporting and close support schedules. Partner with the accounting team to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Support additional accounting projects and responsibilities as needed.
