As an Associate Sales Estimator, you are the foundational support of our sales engineering process, learning to translate building challenges into competitive, accurate solutions under the guidance of senior estimators.

This is an entry-level professional role designed to develop your technical and commercial expertise in the Building Automation industry. You will work within a highly collaborative environment, partnering with Sales, Engineering, and senior estimating team members to learn the ropes and ensure our foundational data is precise.

Key Responsibilities

• Support Estimate Development: Assist senior estimators in gathering data and developing foundational cost estimates for hardware, software, and labor.
• Review Project Documentation: Learn to read and interpret control schematics, blueprints, and bid documents to help identify basic project requirements.
• Draft Proposals: Assist in creating initial drafts of scope letters and proposals based on structured guidelines and standard templates.
• Coordinate Vendor Quotes: Reach out to subcontractors and suppliers to solicit baseline pricing, tracking and organizing quotes for the team.
• Maintain Estimating Databases: Help keep modern estimating software and CRM tools up to date with accurate pricing, project statuses, and documentation.
• Learn and Participate in Handoffs: Attend project turnover meetings to observe how successfully won projects are transitioned to the execution teams.

Required Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED
• 1+ years of experience in Building Automation (BAS), HVAC, Controls, Industrial Automation, or Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial, Architectural, Controls Systems, Construction or Mechatronics Engineering
• Skilled in modern estimating software and CRM tools to drive efficiency.
• Ability to present ideas and strategies clearly to leadership and diverse stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills with a proven ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.

Pay Range

The annual salary for this position is between $53,000.00 - $106,000.00 annually. Factors which may affect pay within this range include, but are not limited to, skills, education, experience, and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.

Other Compensation

This position may be entitled to short-term cash incentives, subject to plan requirements.
