A growing veterinary practice is seeking a compassionate and dedicated associate veterinarian to join its collaborative team. This role provides an opportunity to deliver high-quality medical and surgical care while building lasting relationships with pet owners and supporting the health and well-being of companion animals.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive examinations and diagnose illnesses and injuries in companion animals
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs and clinical findings
- Operate diagnostic equipment, collect laboratory samples, and interpret diagnostic results
- Provide preventive care services, including wellness examinations and client education
- Perform surgical and dental procedures as appropriate
- Prescribe medications and monitor patient response to treatment
- Counsel pet owners on preventive healthcare, treatment options, and end-of-life care decisions
- Maintain accurate and complete medical records
- Collaborate with veterinary technicians and support staff to deliver exceptional patient care
- Ensure compliance with veterinary standards, regulations, and ethical practices
Qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD) degree from an accredited institution
- Current veterinary license or eligibility for licensure in the state of practice
- Eligibility to obtain applicable controlled substance registrations as required
- Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered veterinary care
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- New graduates and experienced veterinarians are encouraged to apply
