Housekeeper

Join the Mill Creek Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation team as a Housekeeper ! We are a small, resident-centered and quality-focused skilled nursing facility and rehabilitation center seeking compassionate and detail-oriented individuals to join our team.

About the Role:

As a Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and sanitation of our facility, including resident rooms, common areas, and equipment. You will play an essential role in ensuring a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents, staff, and visitors. This role includes potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens and bodily fluids consistent with a healthcare setting, and requires working around residents who may have communicable conditions, while following all infection control and safety protocols.

Responsibilities:

• Knows how to sweep, dust mop, and mop floors

• Knows how to change and remove trash

• Knows how to vacuum

• Knows how to follow cleaning guidelines

• Notifies supervisor when supplies are low

• Keeps Housekeeping carts clean and in good working order

• Properly stores equipment, tools, and supplies

• Keeps a log of areas that are cleaned

• Reports any mechanical or equipment condition to supervisor

• Reports any questionable resident conditions to supervisor

• Follow and maintain infection control guidance
  

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Must be able to work as a team member

• Must be able to work weekends

• Ability to work effectively and efficiently

• Positive and upbeat attitude
