Unit Specifics: IVCU is a 18 bed unit that specializes in cardiac procedure patients. STEMI, NSTEMI, PCI’s, Groin or radial access, post Cath lab nursing care. Chest pain r/o, CHF, COPD Cardiac management, chest tubes, hi-flow and Bi-pap, Pericardiocentesis, Thoracentesis, PD, Trachs, Pacemakers, CIWA

Patient Ratios: 4:1

Unit staffing description: 5RN teams with CNC having 2pts, 2 LNA’s and a Unit Clerk

Type of equipment: IV pumps, Sara steady’s, Hiflo, Bipap, Kangroo pumps, Hoyer lift, bladder scanner

Documentation system: Meditech Expanse

Scheduling requirements: 3- 12hr shifts and every other weekend requirement in 4-week blocks

Floating policy: Travelers, PRN, PT Core, FT Core

Patient Experience requirements: Bedside shift rounds/Handoff/ Personal connections

Hospital Specifics:

Certifications: Stemi Hospital, Stroke center, Level II Trauma center

Hiring profile

Requested Skill Set: Proficient in Telemetry

Must have: Advanced skills needed

Procedures performed on unit: Post Operative Nursing Care

Certifications Required: ACLS, BLS, NIH
