Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Pediatric healthcare team in downtown Plattsburgh. As an LPN at Plattsburgh Primary Care Pediatrics, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care and assisting in the overall management of patient needs. Responsibilities:
- Administer medications, including injections, as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team
- Assist with patient assessments and provide basic medical care
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Perform routine laboratory tests and collect samples for medical testing
- Assist with medical procedures.
- Educate patients and their families on various health conditions, treatments, and self-care techniques
- Document patient information accurately and maintain medical records

Experience:
- Previous experience working in a healthcare setting as an LPN
- Familiarity with medical terminology and procedures
- Proficiency in administering medications, including injections
- Knowledge of laboratory procedures
- Experience in acute care settings and triage is preferred
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively

Pay: $24-$26 per hour
