Per Diem Pharmacy Tech | Palatine, Illinois

Support the pharmacy operations at a behavioral healthcare facility managing a high volume of medication dispensing with precision and care. This per diem role requires flexibility to cover approximately 2-3 shifts weekly, starting immediately through July, with potential for weekend hours.


Location: Waukegan, IL
Schedule:

• 6:00 AM to 4:00 PM, with the possibility of staying later
• Weekend coverage may be required, same hours

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately fill and deliver medications to patient units
• Utilize order entry system (HCS) after comprehensive training
• Operate site automation technology (Omnicell) with provided training
• Complete 2-3 days of orientation and training prior to starting
• Maintain daily physical activity, including walking up to 10,000 steps

Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid Illinois Pharmacy Technician license is mandatory
• Ability to stand and walk extensively throughout the shift
• Willingness to work flexible shifts, including potential weekends
• Open to training on facility's order entry and automation systems

Professional Appearance Requirements:

• Wear scrubs in black or gray, or business casual attire without jeans
• Closed-toed shoes required
• Natural hair color (no bright colors)
• Clothing free of rips, stains, or tears
• No hats except for religious or medical reasons
• Short fingernails; face piercings allowed
• Jewelry limited to no hoop earrings; no spaghetti straps
