Surgical Tech - Certified Surg Tech Profession: Surgical Services Specialty: OR Tech / Surgical Tech Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours (06:45 - 19:15) Experience: Minimum 2 years CVOR experience required; first-time travelers accepted with required experience License: Active OR Tech License (WV/Compact); pending license accepted Certifications: National Certification (NBSTSA); BLS required Must-Have: CV experience is a mustCompletion of required cases: Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Repair, Carotid Endarterectomy, Coronary Artery Bypass Graft, Mitral Valve Replacement, Pericardial Window Description:This position is for an OR Tech/Surgical Tech.Candidates must have experience in Cardiovascular Surgery.Do not submit if you do not have CV or general surgery experience.Shifts are 3 days a week, with call requirements on weekdays and weekends.Orientation is held biweekly on Mondays.The unit has 14 operating rooms and an average daily census of 25 cases.Required procedures include scrubbing, circulating, and equipment documentation.Experience with both required and preferred surgeries is necessary.Required experience entails scrub skills in various cases such as General, Endo/Laparoscopic, and Thoracic surgeries.Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in CVOR cases.Weekend coverage is on call only, with one weekend per month required.National certifications must be current, and BLS certification is mandatory.This position includes intermittent on-call duties.Floating to other units is not required.Candidates must be able to work effectively as part of a surgical team.Special equipment includes OR tables, stirrups, and battery-operated equipment.Candidates should comply with safety standards and protocols, including sterilization practices.References from managers or charge nurses within the past two years are necessary. #J-18808-Ljbffr Cynet HealthStaff
