Position Overview Become a Corrections Locksmith with the Department of Corrections (DOC) at State Correctional Institution (SCI) at Phoenix and take on work that truly matters. Join a team that values precision, reliability, and teamwork. Responsibilities Installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical, electronic, and pneumatic lock systems used throughout SCI Phoenix. Produce keys, adjust master key systems, and document broken or missing keys. Determine needed tools and materials and maintain an active supply of parts and equipment. Supervise inmates performing non‑security tasks and maintain related records. Maintain accurate logs and documentation for all completed work. Work Schedule and Additional Information Full‑time employment, 40 hours per week. Work hours: 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, Monday—Friday. Eligible for full retirement benefits at age 50 or 55. No telework option for this position. Starting annual salary for new Commonwealth employees: $47,925.00 (before taxes). Higher salaries will apply based on experience and qualifications.
