Network Engineer

We are offering full-time positions to highly‑motivated and dedicated Network Engineers at our company headquarters in San Antonio. Labatt Food Service is a $1.8B company that delivers to food‑away‑from‑home customers (restaurants, schools, military bases, and convenience stores) throughout Texas and New Mexico and has grown from just 8 employees in the ‘80s to over 1,800 today. Its internally‑written software systems require highly‑available wireless and wired connectivity of a 5‑9s wide‑area network (WAN) and composite LANs. Network Engineers are the committed, hard‑working individuals, who build out the network backbone and telecommunications infrastructure needed for Labatt to deliver flawless data service to over 7,000 electronic end‑points in our 5 distribution centers and 5 satellite offices. As a Network Engineer At Labatt, You Will Program (routers, switches, load balancers, and access points across an inventory of Cisco, Juniper, Extricom, F5, and VMWare devices) Flawlessly Execute (multi‑year device replacement plans) Learn (about new wireless technologies and monitoring and administrative protocols) Adopt (to the profession’s ever‑evolving best practices) Manage (our Telecommunications providers to achieve continuously improved performance and redundancy) Organize (plans for comprehensive active‑active network redundancy) Architect Resiliently (employing modern “chaos” techniques) Network Engineers must have a bachelors degree at minimum, and generally also have acquired a number of the standard networking certifications (CCNA, CompTIA Network+, etc).
