Welder – Thermal Spray Welding

Long-Term Contract | 1st Shift

Location: Kiel, WI
Pay: $30.00/hour - Paid Weekly
Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 5:00 AM–3:00 PM
Schedule: 4-day workweek with Fridays off

Position Overview

We are seeking experienced Welders to join a growing metal fabrication team in Kiel, WI. This is a long-term contract opportunity with competitive pay and a comprehensive training program designed to provide new employees with the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.

In addition to thermal spray welding, employees will have the opportunity to receive training in a variety of metal fabrication processes, expanding their skill set and career opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate thermal spray welding equipment to apply protective coatings to metal components.
• Set up and adjust welding and thermal spray equipment according to job specifications.
• Prepare metal surfaces through cleaning, grinding, blasting, and machining.
• Monitor temperature, spray pressure, material flow, and equipment settings.
• Apply metal coatings accurately and consistently to restore worn or damaged components.
• Inspect finished products for coating thickness, adhesion, quality, and accuracy.
• Use precision measuring tools, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
• Perform grinding, polishing, and finishing operations to meet required dimensions.
• Perform routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Read and follow blueprints, work instructions, and customer specifications.
• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation.
• Follow all company safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work environment.

Cross-Training Opportunities

As a Welder, you may also receive training in one or more of the following areas:

• Press Brake Operation
• Metal Forming
• Welding Processes
• Laser Operation

Requirements

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of welding experience.
• Ability to read and follow work instructions and specifications.
• Ability to use basic measuring tools and equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds .
• Ability to work a 4-day, 10-hour schedule.
• Must successfully complete all required pre-employment screenings.
