Preop Registered Nurse

Schedule

4 ten-hour shifts per week, from 12 PM to 10 PM. Weekday only, with no weekends or holidays required.

Job Description

This position is for a Preop Registered Nurse in a surgical center environment. The role involves providing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures, with responsibilities including preoperative care, IV administration, and assisting in the scrubbing process.

Responsibilities

• Conduct preoperative assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
• Administer IV medications and monitor patients' vital signs.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Assist surgeons and medical teams during surgical procedures.
• Ensure adherence to safety protocols and best practices within the surgical environment.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current BLS certification.
• Strong IV skills and surgical care knowledge.
• Experience in scrubbing and preoperative care.
• Familiarity with Allscripts EMR; experience with EPIC preferred.
