Dialysis Technician

The Dialysis Technician provides specialized care to renal dialysis patients in an in-center chronic care setting, following established protocols under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role supports patient treatment and education across multiple clinic locations, ensuring high-quality care and adherence to safety standards. Responsibilities:

• Provide direct care to dialysis patients according to prescribed protocols.
• Operate and maintain dialysis equipment to ensure proper functioning and patient safety.
• Monitor patients during dialysis treatments and report any abnormalities to nursing staff.
• Assist in patient education regarding dialysis procedures and home care techniques.
• Adhere to infection control and safety guidelines in the dialysis center environment.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient care.
• Document treatment details and patient responses accurately and timely.

• Current Certified Hemodialysis Technician (CHT) or Certified Clinical Hemodialysis Technician (CCHT) certification.
• Current Washington State Medical Assistant-Hemodialysis Technician (MA-HT) certification or ability to obtain.
• Current CPR with BLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Previous dialysis experience is required.

• Experience working in multiple dialysis clinic locations.
• Strong communication and patient education skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.

• Work involves chronic in-center dialysis patient care.
• Must be able to work under the supervision of a Registered Nurse.
• Compliance with strict infection control and safety protocols is mandatory.

• Shifts are typically 10 hours in length.
• Shift times include both AM and PM, with no shifts later than 11:30 PM.
• Workdays are Monday through Saturday, covering multiple clinic locations.
