CNC OperatorNesco Resource is seeking a reliable and mechanically inclined CNC Operator to join a multi-department manufacturing team in Farmington, NY. This temp-to-perm opportunity offers the chance to build a long-term career while gaining hands-on experience in precision machining operations. The CNC Operator will support production across multiple departments, including Mills, Lathes, Sheet Metal, and Cut-Off operations, while setting up and operating machinery to produce high-quality components. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement in a manufacturing environment.$20.00 - $22.00/Hour (Based On Experience)1st Shift: Monday - Friday | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PMJob Duties:Set up and operate production equipment including CNC machines, lathes, milling machines, boring machines, and grindersProduce assigned parts according to written work instructions, drawings, and production requirementsSelect proper tooling, speeds, and feeds based on materials, tolerances, and job specificationsOperate machinery to maintain close tolerances and meet quality standardsInspect completed parts and document results on production and quality paperworkRecord production time, quantities, material usage, and job-related information accuratelyPerform machine adjustments, routine maintenance, and minor repairs using standard hand toolsMaintain organized work areas and return tools and equipment to designated locationsIdentify and report product defects, equipment malfunctions, and safety concernsCommunicate process issues or deviations to supervisors and leadershipFollow all company policies, safety procedures, and quality requirementsWear all required personal protective equipment (PPE) while working on the production floorRequirements:High School Diploma or GED required1-2 years of related machine operation experience and/or training preferredCNC, machining, or manufacturing experience preferredAbility to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manualsAbility to complete basic production reports and documentationStrong mechanical aptitude and hands-on troubleshooting skillsBasic math skills including fractions, decimals, ratios, and percentagesAbility to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructionsStrong attention to detail and commitment to qualityReliable attendance and safety-focused mindsetPhysical Requirements & Work Environment:Ability to stand, reach, and use hands throughout the shiftAbility to lift and move materials up to 40 lbs.Frequent walking, bending, reaching, and movement around machineryOccasional climbing, balancing, kneeling, crouching, and crawlingAbility to work around moving mechanical equipment and vibrationExposure to manufacturing conditions including noise, fumes, airborne particles, humidity, and chemicalsAbility to wear required PPE in a production environmentNesco Resource offers a comprehensive benefits package for our associates, which includes a MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan that encompasses Medical, Vision, Dental, 401K, and EAP (Employee Assistance Program) services.
