About the vision:

Wells Fargo Wealth & Investment Management (WIM) is making a significant multi-year investment in its eBrokerage platform to provide an even more compelling and competitive offering to customers. This investment will add important new capabilities and features both for self-directed and automated investing and provide new fully native mobile experiences. To support these customer-centric enhancements and to ensure the platform scales for future success we are embarking on a technology modernization effort to improve time to market and allow us to take full advantage of all the public cloud capabilities. Key to our success will be hiring into a number of newly created roles, to supplement our existing team with targeted top talent to drive our transformation. We are looking for people with experience of having modernized complex mission critical applications at scale, whilst the platform continues to support ongoing business growth.

About our team:

Our current team is approximately 170 engineers globally between the US and India. Our main development centers in the US are New York, Charlotte (NC) and St. Louis (MO). You should expect to spend three days a week collaborating with your team in the office on a flexible schedule. Our engineers are a mixture of full stack, front end and back-end service experts, and take advantage of the firm's commitment to ongoing professional development through a wide range of resources. We have a separate first line support team that allows engineers to focus on their objectives. Our strong partnership with our business and co-ownership of work through the Agile product operating model means that there are plenty of opportunities for you to work directly with our business partners and further your understanding of the business.

About this role:

Wells Fargo's WIMT Digital team is looking for best-in-class Senior Full Stack Engineers to participate in the technical solutioning and support of our digital applications. Our Senior Software Engineers require a combination of strong Java software development, troubleshooting, technical and communication skills. They are responsible for supporting complex initiatives and delivering solutions across technical environments using the Agile methodology. The ideal candidate is an analytical visionary who has a well-rounded skillset, thrives on complex architectures and enjoys collaborating with others on a high performing team.

In this role, you will:

1. Participate in the technical solutioning and sustainment of our digital applications.
2. Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments.
3. Contribute to large scale planning of strategies.
4. Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments.
5. Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
6. Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients' needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements.
7. Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals.
8. Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff.

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
• 3+ years' experience Java software development
• 2+ years of experience with JavaScript and React with Responsive Design
• 1+ years of demonstrated understanding of testing principals.

Desired Qualifications:

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
• 1+ years developing or maintaining RESTful interfaces
• 1+ years Spring Boot
• 1+ years Eclipse
• Experience in application testing using BDD with Cucumber
• Understanding of Domain Driven Design principals
• Knowledge of Cloud-based applications and microservices
• Experience remediating security findings/vulnerabilities

Job Expectations:

• Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
• Ability to work hybrid work model of 3 days in the office and 2 days remote.

Pay Range:

• New York City, NY- Pay Range: $100,000 - $179,000 annual base salary.
• Salary range is determined by location of the job.
