Location 15 Great Valley Parkway,Malvern, PA, 19355,United States Required Degree 2 Year Degree Description This position resides in the ifm prover USA Malvern, PA manufacturing facility, which designs and manufactures temperature and flow sensor products. The Mechanical Technician role is key to ifm electronic’s greater manufacturing success in the United States, supporting the development of brand new sensors from early concept to full production. Responsibilities Support Mechanical Development Team with new product development projects Assist with rapid prototyping and coordinate prototype manufacturing to progress designs through sample stages and testing Lead all mechanical verification tests and investigate root causes of failures Provide Computer-Aided Design (CAD) support, creating part models, drawings, and documentation packages for new electro-mechanical sensor products Maintain functionality of mechanical testing machines and associated documentation Coordinate with in-house manufacturing team to bring products to full production Qualifications 2+ years hands-on technical experience Strong understanding of mechanical principles Good organizational skills and attention to detail, providing consistency to repeated testing and documentation Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work independently and in a team, balancing multiple priority topics daily in a fast-paced environment Self-driven and willing to acquire new skills to grow in the position and team Experience with common MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Preferred: SolidWorks proficiency, technical drawing and GD&T knowledge, rapid prototyping and/or machine-shop/CNC experience, mechanical testing experience Top-tier medical plan with no deductible, plus voluntary dental and vision plans Company-paid LTD, STD, and other insurances 401K program with 100% company match of up to 6% of pay after six months Eleven paid holidays per calendar year 15 paid vacation days and 5 days paid sick time Company Description ifm prover USA, in Malvern, PA, has earned the distinguished Top Employers certification for 2020 and 2021 in North America for our outstanding people practices. ifm prover USA is a subsidiary of ifm electronic gmbh, a global company with over 7,300 employees in 95 countries serving 174,000 customers worldwide.
