Summer Development Intern

Reports to: Director of Financial Services Supervises: None Hours: 16 hours per week, flexible Availability: Immediate through August 2026 Location: On Campus

Position Summary

The Development Intern supports the advancement office by maintaining accurate donor and prospect records, assisting with gift processing, and strengthening data integrity. This role is essential to building a reliable fundraising pipeline and improving reporting capacity for annual, capital, and EITC initiatives.

Primary Responsibilities

• Enter and update donor, prospect, and gift records in the CRM (e.g., eTapestry)
• Reconcile gifts with finance reports and supporting documentation
• Assist with pledge tracking and payment schedules
• Standardize naming conventions and constituent records to improve reporting accuracy
• Support soft credit tracking
• Run and export basic reports for Annual Fund, EITC, and campaign activity
• Conduct limited prospect research using public sources (as assigned)
• Assist with data cleanup projects and database audits

Learning Objectives

The Development Intern will gain hands-on experience in nonprofit data management, fundraising operations, donor lifecycle tracking, and campaign infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and comfort working with data
• Proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Interest in nonprofit development, fundraising, or data analytics
• Prior CRM experience preferred but not required
