Location: Millbrook, NY
Job Type: Full-Time | Temp-to-Hire
Pay: $24.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM–4:30 PM
Setting: School-Based Healthcare | Grades K–12

Position Overview
Our client is seeking a Bilingual Certified Medical Assistant to provide clinical and administrative support in a school-based healthcare setting serving K–12 students. This is a great opportunity for a certified Medical Assistant who enjoys working with children and adolescents and wants a consistent weekday schedule.

This is a temp-to-hire position with the potential for long-term employment and benefits upon permanent hire.

Responsibilities

• Support healthcare providers with student examinations, treatments, and routine clinical procedures.
• Record vital signs, patient histories, and screening results, including vision and hearing.
• Perform and document basic laboratory testing, EKGs, spirometry, and other procedures within your training and scope.
• Collect and process specimens while maintaining accurate EMR documentation.
• Help coordinate student appointments, registration, and check-in/check-out.
• Assist with English/Spanish communication for students and families.
• Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and follow patient privacy and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) credential.
• Bilingual English/Spanish communication skills.
• High school diploma or GED and completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• At least 1 year of Medical Assistant experience.
• Familiarity with EMR systems and Microsoft Office.
• Pediatric, adolescent, or school-based healthcare experience is a plus.
