Job Title:Microanalysis Scientist Co-OpJob Description:Here at Entegris, we use advanced science to enable technologies that transform the world, and we are seeking employees who have the drive to continue the mission.The Role:Our site in Billerica, MA is seeking a Microanalysis Scientist Co-Op to join our team for the Spring 2027 season. This assignment is intended to be 6 months in duration.In this role, you will join Entegris’ Micro-analysis team, which is developing a method to evaluate the particle size distribution or pore size distribution based on SEM or 3D confocal images and advanced software. You will gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge analytical instruments and contribute to method development and routine analytical services.What You’ll Do:Perform and present analytical test results to Senior Scientists and Engineers.Become proficient in advanced analytical tools including:Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM)Energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS)Confocal 3D Fluorescence MicroscopeMicroscope FTIRDevelop and iterate upon test methodologies.Discuss test results and suggest future project directions.Support routine analytical services by analyzing samples from other teams.What We Seek:Open-minded, curious, and eager to learn new technologies and analytical techniques.Strong data analysis, problem-solving, and organizational skills.Background in Computer Science, Chemistry, Materials Science, Optics, Imaging Science, or related fields.Familiarity with digital image analysis, data processing, or programming is preferred.Knowledge of optical microscopy, particularly laser scanning confocal microscopy, is a plus.Ability to clearly communicate technical findings through written reports and presentations.Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0.Desired Major(s) & Graduation Year:Computer Science, Chemistry, Materials Science, Optics, Imaging Science, Chemical Engineering, or related fields.Graduation Year: 2027 or laterEligibility:Must be a currently enrolled studentAvailable to work 40 hours a week, M-F (8a-5p) beginning in January through JuneMust be familiar with the university’s requirements to participate in a co-op programEntegris is not currently hiring candidates for co-ops/internships who will need, now or at any time in the future, Entegris sponsorship through the H1-B lottery.WHY WORK AT ENTEGRIS?Lead.
