School Nutrition Worker

divh2Job Title/h2pThis is a 7 hour per day/182 day contract position./ppThis is a non-exempt position as defined by the Fair Labor Standards Act./ppThis is light work requiring the exertion of up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects; work requires climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and repetitive motions; vocal communication is required for expressing or exchanging ideas by means of the spoken word; hearing is required to receive detailed information through oral communications and/or to make fine distinctions in sound; visual acuity is required for color perception, preparing and analyzing written or computer data, visual inspection involving small defects and/or small parts, use of measuring devices, assembly or fabrication of parts at or within arms length, operation of machines, determining the accuracy and thoroughness of work, and observing general surroundings and activities./ppPreferably hold a high school diploma or GED certificate./ppHave some knowledge and experience in quantity cooking preferred./ppHave ability to learn and work in all areas of kitchen./ppCertificate from the health department permitting the handling of food./ppMust possess physical attributes necessary to move furniture and furnishings and to lift and stack commodities./ppHave demonstrated the personal characteristics necessary for working effectively with students, school personnel and members of the community./ppJob requires lifting and shelving cases of food (40-50 pounds), moving and stacking furniture, continuous standing./p/div
