About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Nursing Officer for its Behavioral Health Hospital. The CNO will be responsible for the overall quality of patient care, the strategic planning of patient care services, and the optimum utilization of human resources. This role involves administrative direction and coordination of nursing service functions, providing a leadership framework for patient care, and ensuring that services are in line with the needs of the patients. The CNO will also be involved in establishing and evaluating standards of patient care, participating in the development of long-range strategic plans, and ensuring compliance with various healthcare standards and regulations. Candidates for the CNO position should have a Master's degree in a related field, a valid RN or APRN license, and a minimum of 7-10 years of related experience, with a preference for those holding advanced nursing administration certification. The role requires a leader with a strong background in nursing, including experience in management and a commitment to the highest standards of patient care. The CNO will be expected to promote a positive image of the hospital, foster effective relationships with the medical staff and other departments, and ensure the staff is trained in patient safety and performance improvement. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership behaviors that empower others, foster open dialogue, and effectively influence and negotiate.
