Job Responsibilities
- Gather, collect, and assess intelligence related to security threats; surveillance of designated groups.
- Monitor and identify inmates who are seen associating with gang members.
- Interview and verify photographs have been taken of all new arrivals.
- Complete paperwork/packets on inmates who are suspected to be involved in gang activity.
- Assist Contraband staff in searching cells of suspected gang members.
- Monitor inmate phone calls.
- Maintain accurate records of all confiscated items such as written material containing code and symbols.
- Complete all other tasks assigned by the Statewide STG Coordinator or STG Task Force Supervisor.

Minimum and Additional Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen, age 18 or over, have a high school diploma or GED & have a valid driver's license.
- Tattoos: must not be offensive and/or gang related or visibly located on the face or head. Tattoos on the neck will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
- Must pass a physical exam administered by SCDC.
- Must successfully complete the correctional officer basic certification course within first six (6) months of placement into the position.
