Food Service Supervisor - Subway - Seasonal Flex

Job Summary The fresh foods supervisor will effectively direct and supervise all activities of the deli/food service department and its personnel to achieve merchandising, sales, and customer service goals established for the department. Must have previous food service management experience (2 years minimum) and must truly have a love and passion for food and serving the customer! Responsibilities Direct department personnel and meet department goals and objectives. Communicate directly with store management and department supervisors. Select, on‑board, and coach all new team members. Schedule all team members. Engage with customers through smiles, greetings, and product information. Take customer orders, ensuring they are completed on time and to satisfaction. Ensure personnel follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines. Order products and supplies to maintain adequate stock and merchandising levels. Oversee preparation and serving/merchandising of deli/food service items. Display items following department and company merchandising guidelines. Follow product recipes without deviation. Rotate items for sale, ensuring quality, safety, and shrink control. Receive merchandise, audit invoices, break down orders, and position cases. Periodically count product for inventory purposes. Complete all paperwork in a timely and accurate manner. Process cash register transactions, give back change, and issue refunds. Use scale printer machine, ensuring weights and pricing are correct. Monitor product pricing, signage, placement, and shelf tags. Keep counters, prep areas, shelving, and walk‑in coolers/freezers clean and orderly. Ensure all personnel use proper safety equipment and procedures. Perform other duties as needed or assigned by management. Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent. Minimum 18 years old. Two years prior experience in a fresh foods environment, preferably in a management role. Flexibility to work weekend, holiday, and/or evening shifts and assist other locations. Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license. Serv‑Safe certification preferred. Desire to learn new products and recipes; love of foods and creative nature. Ability to remain helpful, tactful, and courteous at all times. Strong basic math skills and ability to work quickly and efficiently with minimal direction. Physical ability to lift up to 25 lbs, reach above shoulder height, and bend below waist; work in walk‑in coolers/freezers and stand for long periods. Pay Range USD 18.00 – 21.66 per hour.
