A Day in the Life of a Personal Trainer Show passion, purpose, care, and coaching by designing and implementing safe and effective exercise programs, incorporating a variety of cardiovascular, strength, flexibility, and restorative techniques. Provide personalized training sessions tailored to each client’s needs. Maintain ambitious standards of professionalism and client engagement, building long‑term relationships based on trust and expertise. Compensation for Client Sessions Level 1: Earn $20 per 60‑minute session Level 2: Earn $25 – $35 per 60‑minute session Level 3: Earn $30 – $50 per 60‑minute session Elite Level: Earn $35 – $67 per 60‑minute session 30‑minute sessions are compensated at half the rate of a 60‑minute session. Ability to resolve conflicts professionally and diplomatically. Baseline computer skills for managing email, schedules, and other business tools. Thorough knowledge of exercise science, nutrition, and fitness programming. Ability to demonstrate safe and effective exercise techniques. Strong multitasking and organizational skills in a dynamic, fast‑paced setting. Certifications, Degrees & Training Experience Holds one or more nationally accredited PT certifications CPR/AED certified, required High school diploma or GED, required Four‑year degree in Exercise Science or a related field, preferred Minimum one‑year personal training experience, preferred Previous experience in fitness program design, preferred Physical Requirements Must be able to lift or move 50 lbs. Physical effort required for daily duties includes lifting weights, squatting, bending, reaching, spotting, and prolonged standing.
