A full-service heavy-duty repair operation is hiring a Heavy Duty Diesel Mechanic in Miles City, MT to repair trucks and equipment in the shop and field. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of mechanic experience and strong troubleshooting skills. Apply now for steady year-round work.Duties & Responsibilities:Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, brakes, electrical systems, and other heavy-duty truck and equipment components.Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, repairs, and major overhauls on trucks, heavy equipment, and diesel machinery.Respond to on-site and roadside service calls to complete field repairs as needed.Use diagnostic tools to identify mechanical issues and support accurate, efficient repairs.Maintain accurate repair records and complete work safely and efficiently in both shop and field environments.RequirementsRequired:At least 2 years of previous mechanic experienceSolid mechanical aptitude with strong diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skillsMust provide your own basic set of toolsValid driver’s license with a clean driving recordReliable transportationStrong work ethic and ability to handle a wide range of repair needsPreferred:Diesel or heavy equipment experienceClass A CDL#SJ1 Compensation:$20.00 – $30.00/hour starting pay based on experience, qualifications, and certificationsOvertime pay at 1.5x regular rateDouble-time pay on after-hours service callsBenefits:Health insurance401(k) packagePaid time offUniforms providedShifts:Full-time, 40+ hours per weekMonday–Friday, Day Shift base scheduleService calls required as part of the role, including road and breakdown repairsAfter-hours, evening, night, and weekend work required as needed #J-18808-Ljbffr Mechanics Hub
