Live-In Caregiver Opportunity Cherished Companions Home Care is a reputable caregiving agency dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for elderly individuals. We are currently seeking a compassionate and skilled Live-In Caregiver to provide exceptional care and support to one of our valued clients. Our clients are located throughout the eastern Cleveland- area suburbs (Eastern Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga, Northern Portage and Northern Summit Counties). As a Live-In Caregiver, you will reside with our elderly client in their home, providing comprehensive care and assistance with daily activities. Your role will be essential in ensuring their comfort, safety, and overall well-being, while maintaining a high standard of professional care. Key Responsibilities Live with the client 24/7 for weeks to months at a time. Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene Manage and conduct medication reminders according to prescribed schedules Prepare balanced and nutritious meals, and assist with feeding if necessary Support mobility needs, including assistance with walking, transfers, and use of mobility aids Perform light housekeeping tasks, including laundry, cleaning, and maintaining a tidy environment Provide emotional support and companionship, engaging in meaningful activities and conversations Monitor health and well-being, promptly reporting any changes to family members or healthcare professionals Ensure a safe and comfortable living environment by adhering to safety protocols Qualifications 18 years of age or older Previous experience as a caregiver or in a similar role, with a focus on elderly care Relevant certifications or training (e.g., CNA, HHA, CPR) preferred but not required Strong knowledge of caregiving best practices and health and safety standards Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and assisting with mobility Excellent communication, empathy and interpersonal skills Professional, reliable and dedicated to providing high-quality care Background check and references required Ability to read, write and speak in English License and vehicle preferred but not required What We Offer Competitive salary Private living accommodations within the client's home Meals and utilities provided Supportive work environment with opportunities for professional development Comprehensive training and ongoing support Paid time off (available after 90 days) Health, dental & vision insurance (available after 90 days) 401K retirement program (available after 90 days) Life insurance (available after 90 days) Referral bonuses Virtual interviewing options Cherished Companions is a variable hour employer.
