The unit handles 45 cases across 17 rooms and operates on 12-hour night shifts. The unit accepts 13-week contracts and requires candidates with strong experience in at least 2 of the top four surgical specialties: neuro spine, ortho spine, vascular, or robotics.Key ResponsibilitiesCirculate and scrub in the Operating Room across assigned surgical specialtiesManage patient care across 45 cases and 17 rooms on 12-hour night shiftsOperate within unit systems including PYXIS, EPIC, SBAR, Staff Meetings, and the Communication BoardParticipate in a minimum 36-hour orientation (three days, not including Epic training)Perform procedures across specialty areas in the following priority order:- 1st – Neuro and Neuro Spine - 2nd – Ortho/Ortho Spine (90% of total joints have gone to Clemmons; unit rarely does scopes, cuffs, etc.) - 3rd – Vascular - 4th – Robotics - 5th – Urology - 6th – Podiatry - 7th – Oncology GYN - 8th – Misc.
