Welder
The Welder will perform high-quality welding to precise tolerances in a production environment. You will receive training on specific processes and standards, but you are expected to work independently, read and follow blueprints, and support fabrication and assembly work as needed.
Responsibilities
- Perform MIG and TIG welding on various materials, including stainless steel, to meet specific tolerances and quality standards.
- Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and specifications to complete welding and fabrication tasks accurately.
- Set up welding equipment and tools correctly for each job, ensuring proper settings for materials and weld types.
- Fabricate, fit, and assemble components and structures according to production requirements.
- Inspect welds for accuracy, quality, and adherence to specifications, making adjustments as needed.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area within the machine shop to support safe and efficient operations.
- Collaborate with a small team to meet production schedules and support continuous workflow.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines while operating welding and fabrication equipment.
Essential Skills
- Hands-on experience with MIG welding.
- Hands-on experience with TIG welding.
- Ability to weld stainless steel and other common fabrication materials.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols.
- Experience with welding in a production or fabrication environment.
- Ability to work independently after training and manage assigned tasks with minimal supervision.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with fitting and assembly of welded components.
- Background in fabrication within a machine shop or manufacturing setting.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, high-quality welds.
- Willingness to learn and grow technical skills through ongoing training and performance feedback.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Danbury, CT.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $26.00 - $35.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
