Principal Product Designer

Block, Inc. is seeking an experienced Principal Product Designer to join the Point of Sale Design team in the San Francisco Bay Area, with on-site work. This role leads vision-driven POS initiatives from concept through shipped product and collaborates closely with design, product, and engineering leadership to shape the next generation of our core checkout experiences. Compensation ranges from USD 251,600 to 377,400 per year. Responsibilities Lead vision-heavy design programs that set a new standard for core Point of Sale experiences. Advance ideas by prototyping to visualize concepts, secure cross-functional support, and bring projects to life. Partner with design, product, and engineering leadership to define strategy and drive execution. Requirements A strong understanding of AI and its potential applications within design processes and product experiences. Robust visual design skills with an awareness of how motion can elevate interactions and create moments of delight. Proven ability to collaborate effectively across a broader design team as well as with product and engineering partners. This group is responsible for the core POS experience used by both sellers and buyers, continually evolving and reinventing shared POS surfaces to better support sellers.
