We are seeking a Certified Medical Assistant, Registered Medical Assistant, or Licensed Practical Nurse to support clinical care, patient communication, care coordination, and day-to-day clinic operations within the OB/GYN department. This role plays an important part in creating a positive patient experience by assisting providers, preparing patients for exams and procedures, obtaining medical histories and vital signs, documenting accurately, and supporting patients with professionalism, empathy, and respect.Our Mission: Quality, compassionate care for all.Our Vision: Reimagine health care through connection, service and innovation.Our Core Values: Be Kind | Trust and Be Trusted | Work Together | Strive for Excellence.Join a compassionate team dedicated to women's health—bringing expert, empathetic care to every patient.Why You'll Love This RoleMeaningful Patient Connections – Be a trusted part of each patient's healthcare journey by providing compassionate, hands-on support and helping create a welcoming, positive experience from check-in to checkout.Collaborative Care Team – Partner with physicians, advanced practice providers, nurses, and fellow clinical staff in a team-focused environment where your contributions are valued.Professional Growth – Expand your clinical skills and healthcare knowledge while working in a dynamic setting that encourages continuous learning and development.What You'll Be DoingGreet, room, and prepare patients for examinations and treatments, including obtaining medical histories and vital signs.Assist providers during examinations, procedures, and treatments while ensuring patient comfort and safety.Collect laboratory specimens, perform competency-validated clinical tasks, and accurately document patient information in the electronic medical record.Coordinate patient care activities including referrals, diagnostic testing, prior authorizations, scheduling, and follow-up appointments.Support daily clinic operations by maintaining exam rooms, equipment, and supplies while assisting with patient calls and portal communications.QualificationsLicensed Practical NurseRegistered Medical Assistant (RMA) through an accredited certifying organization.ORCertified Medical Assistant (CMA) through an accredited certifying organization.RQI Provider (BLS) required within seven (7) days of hire/transfer or before providing independent patient care, whichever comes first.Preferred ExperienceOne (1) year of experience in a medical practice setting preferred.Medical office experience and medical terminology training preferred.Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, medical terminology, basic laboratory values, pharmacology, infection control practices, and HIPAA requirements preferred.Professional QualificationsStrong organizational skills, attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to prioritize effectively.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment.Commitment to professionalism, patient confidentiality, and exceptional patient care.Ability to act with integrity, kindness, and empathy.Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn additional software systems as needed.Shift:Day Shift - 8 Hours (United States of America)Schedule:Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.PRN positions (also referred to as Casual, As Needed, or Per Diem) at Logan Health offer flexibility and are designed to provide coverage during busy periods, employee absences, and vacations, making them an excellent opportunity to support the team as needed. PRN employees can participate in a matching 401(k) plan and have access to the Employee Assistance Program. Additionally, they may qualify for hourly differential pay for certain shifts or hours, offering extra compensation based on department-specific scheduling needs.
