Exciting Hematologist/Oncologist Position in Phoenix!

Are you interested in a rewarding career at a VA facility? Here’s your opportunity! Our organization is seeking a Hematology/Oncology Physician to join the Carl T. Hayden Medical Center located in Phoenix, Arizona. This is a chance to advance your career within a well-established Hematology/Oncology program dedicated to treating Veterans with both malignant and benign hematologic conditions, as well as solid tumors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide specialized consultations for both inpatient and outpatient care.
  • Participate in committees and engage in quality assurance initiatives.
  • Assist the facility in achieving established performance metrics.
  • Utilize your extensive training and experience to diagnose, stage, and treat hematologic disorders.
  • Instruct and supervise medical students and residents, which is a vital aspect of this role.
  • Meet the qualifications for an academic appointment at the University of Arizona School of Medicine - Phoenix.
Work Schedule

Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. with minimal on-call duties.

Additional Information

To qualify for the CME leave, candidates must be board-certified. The EDRP is available for this position, allowing for student loan reimbursement. Applicants must meet specific eligibility criteria and submit their EDRP application within four months of starting. Approval and award amounts are determined by the VHA Education Loan Repayment Services program office after a thorough review.
