Security Guard - PRN

Overnight security and environmental services role at Pleasant View Skilled Nursing Community in Ottawa, IL. $18.25/hour to start, credit given for experience. PRN, 9pm-7am shifts.

Pleasant View, part of Lutheran Life Communities, is hiring a Security Guard to keep our overnight campus safe, respond to emergencies, and handle nightly facility upkeep during the shift.

What You'll Do

• Monitor building security systems and conduct regular rounds of the interior and exterior of the campus
• Respond immediately to 911 calls, direct emergency personnel, and manage crowd control during incidents
• Investigate and document incidents such as theft, criminal activity, or threatening behavior, and keep accurate logs and reports
• Handle nightly environmental services tasks, including mopping, operating floor machines, and emptying trash
• Complete basic maintenance tasks as assigned
• Build positive relationships with residents, visitors, and team members through a professional, welcoming presence

What You'll Need

Required:

• 18 years of age or older
• Able to speak, read, and write legibly in English
• Able to perform physical tasks including mopping, operating floor equipment, and lifting and moving trash

Preferred:

• Prior security experience
• Prior janitorial, housekeeping, or general maintenance experience

Pay and Benefits

• $18.25/hour to start; credit given for relevant experience

Schedule
PRN, overnight shift, 9:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Hours vary based on coverage needs.
