Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist II to support our client's healthcare facility in Columbus GA 31901. Job Details: Schedule: Tues and Thurs only 2:00 pm-6:00 pm also alternate Saturdays 8:00 am-1:00 pm. Location: Columbus GA 31901 Job Type: Local Contract Contract Length: 3 months+ Pay Range: $20/hr- $22/hr Key Responsibilities: Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc. Collects and stores specimens in accordance with established procedures. Properly explain in a clear but courteous manner the process of the venipuncture (blood drawing) and other specimen collection (ex. urine or fecal) as required. Demonstrate technique/s using straight needles and/or butterfly needles. Fully understand all the physicians' orders. Matches laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes. Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order. Check all test requisitions or computer labels against the script to ensure 100% correctness. Package specimens for transport. Stores specimens at the required temperature and place them. Qualifications: A High School Diploma or GED is required. A minimum of 2-3 years of phlebotomy experience is required.
