PR / Social Media Intern

Role Description

This is a remote position.

Most communications internships are content calendars and caption queues. This isn't that. This is a strategic communication apprenticeship. You will work directly with leadership to shape how Vulcury and its portfolio companies are perceived — across media, trade press, industry awards, and social platforms. The work is real, the output is public, and the brands you influence operate in consequential industries. You will need to write well, think clearly, and move fast across multiple companies simultaneously.

What You'll Do

• Media Relations:
  • Research and build targeted media lists across AI, manufacturing, investment, and real estate verticals.
  • Draft press releases, pitch emails, and media briefs.
  • Track coverage, coordinate interviews, and maintain press contact databases.
• Trade Press & Thought Leadership:
  • Identify relevant trade publications and editorial calendars.
  • Support drafting and placement of contributed articles and expert commentary.
  • Help position Vulcury's portfolio founders as credible voices in their sectors.
• Awards & Recognition:
  • Monitor industry awards, innovation lists, and rankings.
  • Draft compelling submissions that distill company achievements into persuasive narratives.
  • Maintain a live awards pipeline with deadlines and submission status.
• Social Media & Digital Presence:
  • Own content creation for LinkedIn and X/Twitter across Vulcury and its portfolio companies.
  • Repurpose white papers, insights, and long-form content into sharp, platform-native posts.
  • Maintain consistent narrative sequencing across brands.
  • Track performance and propose improvements.
