Computed Tomography Technologist

Operates computed tomography (CT) equipment. Produces cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissues. Images are used to diagnose medical conditions. Performs a variety of imaging procedures, including general radiography and fluoroscopy. Assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care for patients. Produces sagittal and coronal reformatted images for radiologist interpretation. Uses PACS and teleradiology systems to transfer images to the appropriate location. Maintains accurate records and files. Ensures integrity of patient medical images and data. Adheres to patient confidentiality guidelines and regulations. Performs routine maintenance and calibration of equipment. Manages supply inventory. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

License: Radiologic Tech (RT) in the state of practice

Certifications: Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists: R.T. (R)(CT)(ARRT) OR R.T. (R)(ARRT)

Must-Have: Basic Life Support (BLS OR HS-BLS OR RQIBLS) certification required
