Our Beliefs include valuing all persons, believing all students can succeed, educating students as close to their home school as appropriate, providing services based on individual needs, making quality educational services available to all students, and working cooperatively with schools, families, and communities to provide appropriate educational services for all students.Position/Title: Maintenance WorkerQualifications:High School DiplomaClass D Driver's License with good driving recordAbility to lift 50 lbs.Ability to work on elevated areas (ladders and rooftop)General carpentry, plumbing and electrical experienceExhibit pleasant and helpful attitude when working with staff and outside personnelMinimum 5 years of maintenance experience preferredDirect Supervisor: Head of MaintenanceOverview: The Maintenance worker position is a twelve (12) month position. Responsibilities include H.V.A.C, electrical wiring, communication systems, maintaining the physical integrity of all SEDOL buildings, and purchase equipment. Twenty-four (24) hour availability is a primary component of the position.Performance Responsibilities:Maintain all H.V.A.C. electrical, plumbing and physical integrity, including doors and hardware, of all SEDOL buildings.Assist in ice and snow removal from assigned SEDOL sites.Initiate preventative maintenance procedures for all SEDOL operated buildings.Monitor BAS systems as needed.Repair SEDOL equipment on an as needed basis.Utilize School Dude Software work order/preventative maintenance system.Complete assigned building, equipment projects with a specific schedule.Provide maintenance for the Maintenance Department vehicles.Be available for twenty-four (24) hour on-call services, as needed.Complete other tasks as assigned by the Assistant Superintendent of Business Services and the Manager for Purchasing and Operations/Maintenance to support the education program provided by SEDOL.Assist in basic landscaping tasks (ie; mulch, lawn, patching and branch removal)Assist to fill in for Custodial staffAssist Operations staff with order deliveries and meeting set-up.Assist Operations staff with summer classroom moves.Salary: $20.98 - $26.86 per hour based on education and experience. Benefits: paid sick and personal days, paid single health insurance and other locally competitive benefits.
