Surgical Technologist - Perry, GA

Take the next step in your surgical technology or perioperative nursing career with an exciting contract position in a vibrant, collaborative surgical team environment. This opportunity focuses on supporting a large, teaching hospital with 20 state-of-the-art OR suites and a Level 1 Trauma designation. You'll work in a dynamic, patient-centered facility recognized for excellence in cardiovascular, orthopedic, neurosurgery, and general surgical services.


Schedule and Shift Details:

• 10-hour day shifts: 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• 40 hours per week
• 6-9 on-call shifts per month, including weekend and holiday call rotations
• 6-week schedule cycles
• One week comprehensive orientation

Ideal Candidate Qualifications:

• At least 2 years' recent general OR experience (5 years CVOR experience preferred for cardiovascular assignments)
• Current BLS certification is required
• Surgical Techs: Graduation from an accredited program, CST preferred
• Familiarity with EPIC Optime, Alaris IV pumps, Pyxis, and Phillips monitors
• Experience with a wide range of cases: general, GYN, plastics, ENT, robotics, orthopedics, neuro, and cardiovascular surgeries
• Strong teamwork ethic and dedication to patient and staff safety

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare sterile surgical fields and assist the OR team during procedures
• Ensure timely and efficient turnover between cases
• Maintain equipment and instrumentation, following all safety protocols
• Collaborate across surgical specialties, responding to call-backs as needed
• Float to all surgical case types as required by the unit
