Location : Universal Creighton Charter School, 5401 Tabor Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19120 (Northeast Philadelphia)

Essential Functions

The 2nd Grade Teacher will create a warm and welcoming school culture that is driven by student achievement, growth, and commitment to students in an urban environment.


Responsibilities:

• Implement Universal's curriculum and instructional strategies and utilize classroom routines and procedures with consistency.
• Develop rigorous lesson plans, homework assignments and assessments.
• Work closely with school leaders to analyze student assessment data and use data to inform instruction.
• Collaborate in grade level teams to discuss student work, share best practices, and ensure student mastery of standards.
• Form and maintain relationships with students' families, including phone calls and conferences.
• Participate in on-going professional development in the spirit of continuous improvement.
• Perform related work as required.

REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Education: Valid PA Certification
• Bachelor's degree

SALARY: Minimum starting salary of $59,000 . Placement above the minimum will be adjusted based on relevant experience, credentials, and demonstrated expertise.
