Now hiring full-time or part-time Emergency Medicine physicians for OakBend Medical Center's (OBMC) ER campuses in Richmond, Texas. Enjoy the scheduling flexibility and variety that is available by scheduling with 3 area ERs. OBMC is the only independent health system in Texas which ensures physicians the practice support best suited for areas patient care.  The OBMC commitment, aligned with the IES Physician-owned and managed ER group, unincumbered by outside investors, makes for the ultimate model to achieve excellence in an ideal group practice setting.

Join this superb group of established Emergency Medicine physicians who value what this unique practice has to offer and enjoy the day-to-day work of a well-supported Emergency Department. IES further extends career growth opportunties with 15 other ED groups throughout Houston; enabeling cross credentialing for future options within IES.

OBMC has two (2) hospital-based EDs in Richmond and one (1) ER in nearby Wharton, TX.  By cross-credentialing at 3 area ERs, scheduling flexibility and options are extended for the ultimate long-term group practice experience. OBMC provides care for all ages and proudly offer no-wait ER services.  These are Lev IV ERs.

Qualifications:

\n

\n
• BC/BE Emergency Medicine trained physician
\n
• BC/BE Family Medicine or Internal Medicine physician with recent ER experience in a comparable setting
\n
• Texas medical license and DEA (or ability to obtain)
\n
• ACLS, ATLS, PALS, & NIH
\n

• Full labs on site; Xray, CT, MRI, Fluoroscopy, US, POCUS

• EMR Paragon (formerly AllScripts); Dictation Dragon
\n

• 16,500 Patients per year (~ 2 Pts./hour)
\n
• 16-bed ED
\n
• 120-Bed Hospital
\n
• APP coverage 40 hours/week (M-F, noon-8pm)
\n
• 24-hour physician coverage; (7A-7P; 7P-7A) shifts
\n
• 10% admission rate; 5% transfers
\n

OBMC -Williams Way Campus

\n

\n
• 11,300 Patients per year (~1.3 Pts./hour)
\n
• 8-bed ED
\n
• 57-Bed Hospital
\n
• Single physician coverage: 7A -7P; 7P-7A
\n
• 10% admission rate; 5% transfers
\n

OBMC -Wharton Campus in Wharton, TX

\n

\n
• 9,500 Patients per year (~1.1 Pts./hour)
\n
• 24-hour single physician coverage
\n
• Physician shifts are mostly 24s; 12-hour shifts allowed
\n
• 6-bed ED
\n
• 40-Bed Hospital
\n
• Only MSU admissions (rehab program). Medical admissions go to other campuses.
