About the Role
The Company is seeking an Executive Director for the Alabama area. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the launch and oversight of the company's potential new region, including establishing partnerships with higher education institutions. This role is pivotal in the company's mission to serve a large number of college students, particularly those from first-generation and low-income backgrounds. The Executive Director will be tasked with implementing a multi-year strategic plan, ensuring strong program execution, and building a regional advisory board to maximize the region's impact. Additionally, the role involves managing key stakeholder relationships, raising brand awareness, and leading fundraising efforts to secure the financial sustainability of the region. Applicants for the Executive Director position should have a BS/BA and at least 7-10 years of leadership experience, with a proven track record of achieving successful outcomes in an inclusive and equitable team culture. A background in non-profit, higher education, economic or workforce development, or a chamber of commerce is preferred. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to the experiences of first-generation college students, exemplify the company's core values, and be motivated to fundraise for the region. The role requires excellent communication, relationship-building, and management skills, as well as the ability to make data-informed decisions. The Executive Director will also be expected to lead a diverse team, serve as a cultural leader, and be part of the organization's leadership body.
