· Number of Beds - 44
· Number of Staff – 75
· Type of staff:
o Day Shift – staffing grid calls for 1 charge, 11 RNs, 4 CNAs, 1 unit secretary
o Night Shift – staffing grid calls for 1 charge, 10 RNs, 4 CNAs, 1 unit secretary
· Patient Ratios – 1:6 on day shift, 1:7 on night shift
· Type of equipment – Telemetry, PCA, wound vacs, Baxter IV pumps, TPN, tube feeds, urinary catheters
· EMR - Cerner
Typical hiring profile
Skill Set Most recruited for:
Must have: candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role.
· Telemetry competency
· Must be able to manage 6-7 patients depending on the shift.
· Urology and bowel experience (that's our two biggest patient populations)
Preferred or nice to have: candidates with these skills will be considered first.

List typical procedures performed on unit(s):
· TPN
· PCA
· Wound vacs
· Tube feeds, PEG tubes, dobhoffs
· NG tubes
· Colostomies and urostomies
· Drains: biliary, JP, nephrostomy, urinary catheters, CBI
· Heparin drips, IV antibiotics
· Cholecystectomies, appendectomies, podiatry, bowel resections, plastics, urology surgeries and nephrectomies, hysterectomies, mastectomies, oral/maxillary, thyroidectomies, hernia repairs,

REQUIRED CERTIFICATIONS:
· BLS, telemetry

Dress Code:
· Scrub Color/Attire - Navy blue pants, navy blue or white scrub top and jacket (if jacket is needed), white undershirt (if needed). No sweaters, sweatshirts, hoodies, coats, or jackets
