And that includes the Wendy’s family – the people you work with as a Wendy’s Shift Manager – and the tasks you will handle: fun interviews, quality food, and a paycheck. Our founder, Dave Thomas, had three rules for everyone who works here: Do the right thing. Treat people with respect. Make food better than they’d expect from a fast‑food place. You already do the first two. We can teach you the third! As a Shift Manager, you will: Handle customer interactions, good or bad, with professionalism. Ensure food safety standards and procedures are up to date. Guide new team members and coach the crew. Lead, manage, and organize the team in a fast‑paced environment. Make decisions and solve problems promptly. Accept and give direction as a pro. Maintain flexible work availability. Requirements To qualify for this role, you must: Have at least one year of restaurant work experience. Have management or leadership experience. Possess strong problem‑solving, customer service, and decision‑making skills. Be willing and able to travel to other Wendy’s locations as needed. Stand and move for most – if not all – of your shift. Lift up to 25–50 lbs. occasionally. Handle weather‑related tasks such as dealing with rain at the drive‑thru or taking out the trash in the summer. Wear a headset, use restaurant equipment such as a register or grill, and follow brand standards and guidelines.
